Sustainability & Sabil: The Path to Less

Sabil: The Choice to Do Better

Humans were created to have a choice.
In the Quran, God constantly reminds us: We guided him to the two paths - the choice to act with care, or neglect.

An African proverb puts it another way: “If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent the night with a mosquito.”

And when it comes to the climate crisis, every drop counts.

Every action matters.

Every fraction of a degree is significant.

The Golden Ratio Wudu Tap: Designed to Waste Less

Our tap isn’t just beautiful - it’s intentional.
Every curve is measured. Every function serves a purpose.

💧 Powered only by air and water, the Golden Ratio Wudu Tap can be submerged in 40 litres of water, and you’ll still only draw 650ml.

That’s all you need to make perfect wudu. No plumbing. No batteries. No pressure. Just design inspired by divine balance.

The Golden Ratio Wudu Tap isn’t just smart in form - it’s smart in function.

It knows.
When you’re washing your feet, it gently slows the flow of water. Not to waste time, but to give you time.
Time to roll up your trousers, balance on one foot, prepare your stance - whatever your wudu routine needs.

If you know, you know.

Less Plastic, More Purpose

The path to sustainability isn’t perfect, but it is a path, that we are on.

  • The Golden Ratio Wudu Tap is made from PLA, a plant-based bioplastic. Treated well, it lasts for years.
  • The Sabil Bottle is made from recycled plastic - yes, still plastic, but it’s a step away from single-use culture.

Each tap can save up to 37.5 litres of water per person, per day, compared to sink-based wudu.

And packaging?

Our card sleeves are made from seeded paper — they grow wildflowers, which bees love when you plant them.
Everything else is recyclable and reusable. Because intention matters.

The Path is Less Dirty

Design is the start - but we want to go further.

We're actively exploring:

  • Renewable energy-powered production
  • Bioplastics from sugarcane, date pit waste and other organic sources.

Bottling sourcing from facilities that run on 100% clean electricityWe’re not there yet - but we’re getting there, insha’Allah.

اعْمَلُوا آلَ دَاوُۥدَ شُكْرًۭا ۚ وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنْ عِبَادِىَ ٱلشَّكُورُ

“Work, O family of David, in gratitude.”

And a few of My servants are [truly] grateful.

Gratitude is an action. Sustainability is part of our shukr.

When the Maths Isn’t Mathing - We Need You

One wudu tap can save 37.5 litres of water a day.

That’s 13,687.5 litres a year - from one person.

Now imagine an ummah.

You. Your siblings. Your friends. Your masjid. Your youth group. Your school.

Sabil isn’t just a product. It’s a pathway.

A movement. A reminder that the Prophet ﷺ taught us to use only as much water as needed, even beside a flowing river.

So the question is:Are you with us? Let’s make less sacred again.
